This heartwarming initiative ensures that children in need around the world receive a special gift during the Christmas season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event Details<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Box and Label  Pickup<\/strong>: Boxes for packing can be collected during our next two troop meetings on 10\/19 and 11\/2. Grab a label at the same time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Box Return<\/strong>: Filled boxes must be returned at our troop meeting on <strong>November 16th<\/strong>. This is crucial to ensure that the gifts reach their destination on time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Packing Tips<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Choose an age range<\/strong>: The boxes can be for a boy or girl in the age categories of 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gift Ideas<\/strong>: Include fun toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and notes of encouragement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Avoid<\/strong>: Used or damaged items, war-related toys (like toy guns, knives), seeds, food, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items, or aerosol cans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Personal Touch<\/strong>: Consider adding a personal note and a photo, if you&#8217;re comfortable. It&#8217;s a great way for the child to see who their gift came from!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why It Matters<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating in Operation Christmas Child is not just about giving a gift; it&#8217;s about sharing the gospel and sending a message of love and hope to children in need. Every shoebox is a powerful tool for evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication, introducing children to a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How Can You Help?<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pack a box (or multiple!) and return it by November 16th.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteer during the collection or shipping processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donate towards the shipping fees. Each box costs $10 to ship. Donations can be made directly on the Operation Christmas Child website or given during our troop meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s come together as a troop and make this year&#8217;s Operation Christmas Child a memorable one.
